Superior Court Names Additional Attorneys Eligible for Pro Bono Appointments

In Administrative Order 22-02 issued on February 4, the Superior Court of the District of Columbia named three Hogan Lovells US LLP attorneys who are permitted to receive pro bono appointments in serious misdemeanor and low-level felony cases involving adults. Karl Lockhart, Rupinder Garcha and Carina Tenaglia, who have completed training with the Superior Court Trial Skills Program, can now accept appointments at the discretion of the appointing judge or magistrate judge.

Comment on Fitness of 11 Applicants for Superior Court Vacancies

On January 8 the District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission announced that there are 11 applicants for the judicial vacancies on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia created by the retirement of Judges Anthony C. Epstein and Alfred S. Irving Jr. The commission will submit the names of three applicants to the president of the United States for his consideration to nominate and appoint a judge for each vacancy.
